AccessArt Needs Your Support!
Since 2002, AccessArt a unique arts service in Dumfries & Galloway, has provided a creative and inclusive space for people with learning disabilities and neurodivergent individuals. Through workshops, exhibitions, and a supportive community, participants have developed confidence, self-expression, and a sense of belonging.
Now, due to critical funding cuts, this vital service is at risk of closing. Without Turning Point Scotland’s AccessArt service, many individuals who often face isolation and exclusion will lose a space where they can thrive creatively, socially, and personally.
Why AccessArt matters
- Empowers individuals – Providing creative expression and personal development opportunities.
- Builds community – A safe, inclusive space where friendships and support networks flourish.
- Showcases talent – Helping participants share their artwork with the wider public.
- Supports wellbeing – Creativity can support mental health and self-confidence.
