TPS Connects video explainer

TPS Connects was created to give people a purpose and fulfilment beyond receiving support. Being part of something and meeting people can have a positive impact on health and well-being and it reduces loneliness and isolation.

It provides a safe and welcoming environment, to help people feel involved, included, and to have their voice heard. It started in 2011 as a group of people from Turning Point Scotland’s learning disabilities services and people from Turning Point Scotland’s Glasgow-based services.

Now it has come together into one group and grown into so much more. The one thing everyone has in common in TPS Connects is that they have used Turning Point Scotland’s services at some point in their lives. TPS Connects would not exist without volunteers who take responsibility for the running of activities.
It gives people the chance to participate in activities and events, and become a volunteer if they wish to. Turning Point Scotland is a better organisation because of what we have learnt through TPS Connects.
