Celebrating achievement for 2016

This week we are trying to inspire positive change with uplifting stories and try and shake off some of the January blues.

We’ll be featuring some of the great progress going on around Turning Point Scotland’s different services, with a few short stories of people’s personal journeys.

Today, we feature John:

“5 years ago I was living in a homeless hostel.

I came to Turning Point Scotland as a final throw of the dice.

Since graduating from the Glasgow South East Community Recovery service, I have volunteered within the service and passed an HNC social care course and gained employment within social care.

I am now 2 years in my own house and going to University.”

This is a remarkable achievement in a relatively short space of time and we hope John’s comments can inspire people in recovery or those who want to get into recovery.
